Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD)
Through my career I have experienced unique opportunities to work with parents as they are trying to conceive, experience pregnancy loss, are pregnant and parenting. In my practice I continue to support mothers, fathers and and parents.
From 2010-2013 I worked at Denver Health on their Labor and Delivery unit and Women’s Care clinic. After transitioning to new jobs, I continued to have opportunities to support women and families. I helped expand standardized testing for pregnant women in healthcare settings, provided therapy for the women who reported concerns with their mood, provided crisis response and assessment for women experiencing severe symptoms, piloted the expansion of therapy within OBGYN clinics, and served on hospital wide Maternal Health/Mental Health committees.
In addition, I have completed a certification course in the treatment of Mood Disorders by Peripartum Support International (PSI). PSI is a great resource if you are looking for further information or support options.
